Yoga is very popular. We’ve been exposed to images of professional yoga teachers and practitioners in really difficult postures that appear completely effortless. Most of us know that yoga isn’t effortless, in fact, it’s really, really difficult and the majority of us will never be able to do these postures we see promoted.
For people who are not very strong or flexible, or who lack confidence with their balance, there are preliminary yoga poses, with the use of props like the wall, a chair, a padded block or a strap, that when done regularly, can prepare our bodies for doing the more traditional and difficult poses.

The Silver Yogis method uses props to slowly and safely build core strength, flexibility and balance. For some,regularly practising traditional yoga poses with props can be very rewarding. Others find this method builds ability and confidence that can lead to achieving a traditional pose with few or no props.
